Definition:

Clients felt reassured by their provider of their safety throughout their abortion process/procedure

 

Purpose:

Quality abortion care requires a person-centered approach to services; when clients feel reassured regarding their safety it can facilitate reduced fears and/or anxiety and build trust in the client-provider relationship.

Justification for Inclusion:

Statistical association with client outcomes

 

Quality Threshold:

A point of service is considered as meeting this indicator’s quality threshold if 90% or more of clients reported feeling reassured by their provider of their safety throughout their abortion process/procedure.
