Definition:

Client felt the provider took enough time to explain what was going to happen during their abortion process

 

Purpose:

Quality abortion care requires a person-centered approach to services; adequate counseling and explanation about the abortion process will ensure clients preparedness and build trust in the provider-client relationship.

Justification for Inclusion:

Statistical association with client outcomes

 

Quality Threshold:

A point of service is considered as meeting this indicator’s quality threshold if 90% of clients report feeling that the provider took enough time to explain what was going to happen during their abortion process.
